Credentialing Support Package Payment Plan

This package is for SLPs who want to get started accepting insurance or to become a provider with more insurance companies, on a budget-friendly 4-month payment plan

What you'll get:

  • 4, 1-hour consultation calls during which I will
    • answer your questions about the credentialing process
    • help you make sure your CAQH profile is set up correctly
    • support you as you set up any provider portals and clearinghouses that the insurances require
    • walk you through the billing process for each insurance, either in your own EMR or in the insurances’ provider website, and
    • work with you to choose the best insurance companies with which to credential (and which ones to avoid!)

Please note: I complete the credentialing process WITH you, not FOR you. YOU are the point of contact for the insurance company

I do not help with credentialing for

  • United HealthCare (UHC) in any state or

  • Aetna in California. They do not pay therapists fairly, and use a third party that they require you as the provider to pay $200+/mo in order to stay enrolled.

Please note:

  • BCBS- Michigan: you must have a Medicare provider number (PTAN) to enroll

  • Cigna: currently closed to new California, Florida, Texas and Washington state SLP providers (no end date listed)

  • Tricare East/Humana Military: (NOT Humana commercial) limited provider enrollment

  • Tricare West and Tricare East/Humana Military: you must have a physical location in any state in which you would like to see Tricare members (e.g. you cannot provide teletherapy in a state in which you do not have a physical address)

You have hired me to complete the credentialing process WITH you with the insurance company/ies of your choosing. I cannot guarantee that your credentialing application will be accepted, only that I will guide you as you submit all of the paperwork. 

  • We will submit all applications during our video chats.
  • You are responsible for checking on status of your credentialing with the insurance company/companies until the application is either approved or denied. 
  • I will help you set up your EMR to be able to bill the insurance company after you are credentialed
  • I will direct you to the instructions to set up the insurance company's required clearinghouse and/or provider portal
  • I will help you submit your first bill for the insurance company

Disputes:

If you are not satisfied with any of my work, you need to let me know within 7 days of the time you receive said unsatisfactory work. 

Term and Termination:

This contract is valid for 6 months from the day you sign it, or until the credentialing application/s is/are approved or rejected.
